DRX is the highlight of the 2022 League of Legends season by showing how patience and not giving up create a great journey. In the Korean domestic tournament LCK, DRX had a poor performance and did not have a direct ticket to the World Finals.
However, at the 2022 World Finals, DRX had emotional competitions and advanced straight to the finals. Here, they defeated T1 with a score of 3-2 and successfully won the Summoner’s Cup. The final match between DRX and T1 attracted 5.1 million viewers worldwide. In total, DRX generated 69.2 million hours watched in 2022 (of which 43.7 million, or 63%, came from World Finals matches). FaZe Clan (Counter-Strike: Global Offensive)
FaZe Clan is a team of professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) gamers from the US. Over the past year, FaZe Clan generated 60.1 million hours watched (up 91.7%) and attracted 261.9K average viewers during its matches. The peak viewership was 2.1 million during the FaZe Clan series against NAVI at the Antwerp Major. FaZe Clan leads in broadcast time among all teams in the rankings as its matches last nearly 230 hours. FaZe had a successful year and entered the top 5 of the world CS:GO rankings.
ONIC Esports (Mobile Legends)

Last year, ONIC Esport was noticed by eSports fans thanks to its stable performance at MPL Indonesia tournaments. Afterwards, ONIC also won the ONE Esports MPL Invitational 2022 achievement.

Gen.G Esports is Korea’s other representative in the 2022 rankings. Last year, Gen.G Esports had a good season in the LCK domestic tournament. The team went to two Finals, losing to T1 in the spring tournament and getting revenge in the summer tournament. However, at the 2022 World Finals, Gen.G Esports was not as successful as expected.

EVOS Legends (Mobile Legends)
The eSports team from Indonesia competes professionally in many disciplines such as Lien Quan, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, FIFA, Fortnite Battle Royale, and League of Legends.
Compared to 2021, EVOS Legends’ performance in Mobile Legends decreased a lot with an unimpressive performance at the MML tournament. The EVOS squad also failed to qualify for the M4 World Championship. In terms of stats, EVOS Legends attracted a peak of 2.8 million viewers at one point with 51 million hours watched (down 25%).
G2 Esports (Counter-Strike: Global Offensive)
G2 Esports from Germany, is a professional esports team that competes in many sports such as League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Hearthstone, Rocket League, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, iRacing.
In 2022, G2’s CS:GO team ranked 9th in the rankings of the most popular eSports teams. The team’s achievement last year was winning the BLAST Premier World Final 2022 cup.
G2 matches generated 50.9 million hours watched and attracted an average of 265K viewers. The most popular match is the encounter between G2 and FaZe Clan in the final of IEM Katowice 2022. The highest number of live viewers in this match reached 1.1 million viewers.
DWG KIA (League of Legends)
This eSport team from Korea was eliminated from the No. 1 position in the 2021 rankings due to its lack of explosive performance. DWG KIA has dropped 9 places and lost nearly 50% in viewership. In 2022, DWG KIA only has 355,000 viewers compared to 626,000 viewers in 2021. The number of viewer hours watching DWG KIA is also only 47.9 million hours (down 50.2% compared to 2021).
