‘Incredible’ forward has now decided he’d prefer to join Arsenal after his agent spoke to Tottenham

The Premier League campaign is now just two weeks away from starting and Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are already battling against each other.

Neither Arsenal nor Tottenham have exactly lit up the summer transfer window with the north London rivals both doing minimal business.

Mikel Arteta has only seen Riccardo Calafiori come through the door with Ange Postecoglou welcoming Archie Gray as well as Timo Werner and Yang Min-hyeok.

Both sides will be hoping for more new recruits to arrive on their side of north London over the coming weeks.

And it seems as if one shared target may have just decided he would prefer to make the move to Arsenal.

‘Incredible’ forward prefers Arsenal move over Tottenham

Neither side have brought in a new forward this summer despite both having their own needs.

Werner may have been retained on another loan for Tottenham, but the Lilywhites are crying out for more additions.

The same could be said for Arsenal with a new striker potentially of need considering the poor returns of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah last term.

There are a number of forwards who are attracting interest from a number of the top Premier League clubs this summer who share similar targets.

According to TeamNewsandTix, Pedro Neto is a target for both Arsenal and Tottenham this summer.

“I know Neto is on the list [for Arsenal]. He’s thought to be lower down,” he said.

“Tottenham are speaking to Wolves about him and I’ve spoke to a few people about this, it was someone from Tottenham who messaged me yesterday asking if I know what’s going on with Neto.

“I’ve spoke with someone from Wolves, my Wolves contact is quite good, and he was saying Neto is definitely leaving Wolves but he would prefer Arsenal and Wolves expect Neto to end up in London.”

Tottenham have discussed Pedro Neto’s salary with his agent

Tottenham have been in contact with Pedro Neto’s agent to discuss the winger’s salary demands if he was to make the move to Spurs.

But it seems as if the player may already have his mind made up on a potential move to north London and it is not good news for Tottenham.

However, perhaps the positive to take from this is that Neto does not feature so highly on Arsenal’s shortlist as they hold other options.

Wolves manager Gary O’Neil has already admitted the ‘incredible’ Neto could be sold this summer.
