Marvel fans praying for Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen romance reunion in MCU after mega announcement
Could Loki and Wanda be getting closer than ever before?
MCU fans have been left begging for a Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen on-screen romantic rekindling after a recent Marvel Comics announcement.
The US comic giant teased this week that Loki and Wanda Maximoff might be about to get together in Scarlet Witch Vol. 8, which is out in September.
With the MCU’s long history of adapting the superhero comics into successful films and TV shows, fans are desperate to see Scarlet Witch Vol. 8 hit their screens.
Because, of course, this would mean a potential on-screen rekindling of the romance between Loki actor Tom and Scarlet Witch actress Elizabeth.
The couple were briefly believed to be dating in 2016, around the time they starred together in the Hank Williams biopic I Saw the Light.
And now MCU obsessives are hoping that Marvel Comics’ upcoming story will see the two loved up on screen together for the first time in seven years.
‘This wasn’t on my bingo card,’ one fan commented, with many users underneath agreeing that, while the news has come as a surprise, they’re all for it.
‘Never knew I needed something so bad until it was shown to me,’ a second user said about the comic which was teased with the line, ‘Mischief and chaos collide!’
Marvel themselves have indicated that romance could be afoot after captioning the post: ‘This September, Wanda and Loki fall under each other’s spell.’
Could Loki and Wanda be on screen together in the future?
Another commenter noted that the front cover of the upcoming comic had made them realise that Loki and Wanda had never spoken in any MCU film.
Last Sunday, Tom wowed the crowd at Old Trafford when he played for the England celebrities and all-stars team in Soccer Aid 2023.
Tom played the full 90 minutes as the World XI ran out 4-2 winners with goals from Usain Bolt and Kemal Cetinay, winning a fifth consecutive Soccer Aid.
Meanwhile the Loki actor has been getting used to fatherhood for the first time after fiancée, actress Zawe Ashton, gave birth in October last year.
The couple confirmed their relationship in 2021 after meeting each other on the set of Betrayal, a 2019 theatrical production of the 1978 original play.
