A newborn pig in China has a strange shape with a monkey-like face.
This strange-looking animal is part of a herd of 15 pigs that were just born on December 3 in Guizhou province – China. Unlike its siblings in the herd, the monstrous piglet cannot breastfeed itself, so its owner has to bottle-feed it.
The strange animal has two small holes on its face like nostrils, and its upper jaw protrudes outward, causing its tongue to protrude from its mouth. Its two eyes are different sizes and protrude from its head.
The People’s Daily reported that the owner of the strange animal had to bottle-feed it every day. It’s unclear what the piglet will look like when it grows up or how long it can live, but its unusual appearance has created heated debate in China.
Many people blame pollution while others blame genetically modified foods. However, some people also joked that perhaps the mother pig “had an affair”.
In the past, similar pig mutations have also occurred in China, such as pigs with elephant trunks growing on their foreheads in Nanning City or pigs with 2 mouths and 3 eyes. There are even cases of pigs that look like humans or two-headed pigs in this country.
